Comienzos (1930 - 1970) [editar]México participó en la primera Copa Mundial en Uruguay 1930 perdiendo todos sus partidos y finalizando como último lugar de su grupo. Para el mundial de Suiza 1954 el panorama no cambió con dos derrotas nuevamente ante Brasil (0 - 5) y Francia (2 - 3). Pero en el campeonato de Suecia 1958, el Tricolor obtiene su primer punto en una Copa del Mundo, al empatar a uno contra País de Gales; a cambio, aceptó derrotas de Suecia (0 - 3) y Hungría (0 - 4). Sin embargo, después de cuatro copas mundiales jugadas por fin obtuvo su primera victoria en el mundial de Chile 1962, al derrotar por 3 a 1 a Checoslovaquia. Antes se había perdido con Brasil (0 - 2) y España (0 - 1, y de último minuto). En el mundial de Inglaterra 1966, el arquero Antonio Carbajal tendría la distinción de ser el primer jugador en aparecer en cinco copas mundiales consecutivas (honor compartido ...

Koop is Oscar Simonsson & Magnus Zingmark. When listening to Koops music it's somehow easy to believe that it's played by a small orchestra, but in fact the music is based on samples. Thousands of small clips from records puzzled together into new songs. All the drums, strings, horn sections and choires are actually sampled! This is a very time consuming way to make music (it's one of the reasons it takes such long time to make a koop album), but it's the only way to create the surreal Koop sound. One thing though, that for sure aren't sampled, is the vocals. Many singers has blessed the Koop albums with their talent, and on Koop Islands the singers are : Ane Brun, Yukimi Nagano, Hilde Louise Asbjornsen, Rob Gallagher and Mikael Sundin.
